so yeah

there was some disscussion of having and mr2 meet sometime
and i was wondering if there has been any further consideration about it

 

i'm in with ya.....i'm not much of the planner, but i'm always down for a meet......if we cant get something really good goin, we could always join up with the supra guys whenever they hold a meet....i know they are having their central fl meet this weekend, but i'm sure they will have another meet of some kind next month.....anyways however its done i'm down

 

Would you guys prefer a weekend or weekday meet? One meet I held in the past that had good turnout was a Malibu Grand Prix meet. We can get a group rate for $15 a person, which gives you 3 large go cart rides, 1 round of golf, 10 game tokens, 4 batting tokens, and unlimited regular go cart rides. We just rode the go carts for hours bashing into each other till they kicked us out. What do you think of that?

the malibu idea sounds ok, but i was thinking we should have a car meet. that sounds more like a hang out meet to me......i'm still for us meeting up with some other cars for a big meet....like a bbq or dyno meet or somewhere that we can all talk about our cars etc......i'm not really a supra mark, but i like their meets alot and they always have a strong crowd.....also their meets are always car related.......i think the more the merrier.....it would be great to join up in one of their local meets....

 

Yeah, I was the guy talking about getting the MR2's together. Having seen how the people who organize meets get shafted by the folks who show up, I decided not to host a meet, but instead a "get together." I am going to organize the "get together" for Saturday March 16th and it will be at Ft. Desoto state park. We'll take some secenic drives, have a BBQ and hang out. It will be organized by word of mouth an announcements on tampa racing. It will not be announced on the mr2 board.

I have seen too many assholes show up to meets organized on the mr2 board then sit around and do nothing but bitch. We will welcome anybody who owns an mr2, is a fan of the mr2, or just wants to kick it. If you have a friends with MR2's, invite them too! We'll have some fun, meet new people, and eat the hell out of some burgers. I'll post more info in a week or so. I know there are a lot of mr2's in tampa, and I can't wait to meet the owners.

 

i can understand that a lil bit...but only if you let it bother you...if you have a set plan and stick to it their bitching shouldnt matter...let them leave.....next time they wont come...

but anyways....the Ft. Desoto idea is what i woulda had in mind...i love that place...nice and relaxing enviroment.....you can count me in!
