I have a 3rd gen gt wit he ct20b and tonight on my way home my eng started breaking up like it was mis firing or something like it around 6000 rpms. Before I start looking for answers anyone know or been do wn this road before. My friend beside me noticed it too and said it was sputtering and back firing alot. Dont really know where t start??

 

is it an mr2? is it a jspec motor? what kind of fuel are u puttin in it? we need more info....

 

well , ill tell yah , on my supra , it was cutting off in hgiher RPMs , and backfiring , because i got one of my spark plugs wet , or one of the wires wet , and it was misfiring... it wasnt running on my full 6 cylinders , and it was doing pretty much what u said urs was.. so if u washed ur engine , or if it was raining any time recently , u might consider checking the wires and plugs.
