To mod or not to mod?
Im looking for some originality here, and figured since you guys almost obssess about yota's, then you might have some cool ideas as to the question i asked. You know, something different that you have thought, man it would be neat to see that done.

how about a 4age? its not as powerful as a 3sgte, but its high revving, has individual throttle bodies, and lots of aftermarket support, also its a pretty easy swap and its not as common.

S15 BB turbo is better than CT20B = fact
I'm just offering some ideas... notice my first was the camry V6....
I'm just offering whats out there (case of SR in yota), or whats better (S15BB vs OEM toyota stuff)....
In the other thread I was offering something different that hadn't been tried on an MR2 before. Its a fact than on the SR a S15bb turbo can create 300+rwhp and not be really stressed, possibly up to 330rwhp or so.... That and it spools at a much lower RPM and much faster(transient responce from no boost to full boost at higher rpm's) than mr2's with CT20B's.. It also lacks the ceramic fins of the CT20B that can disentegrate and crack off under high levels of boost over long peroids of time, making damage due to the compressor less of an issue... This dosent mean its EASIER to do, because its not... attatching a T2 flange to the stock mr2 exhaust manifold takes some work, but it has to be able to be done... I'm just suggesting you try something different that isnt TOTALLY alien because its been used on other Japanesse 2 liter DOHC motors with success....
SR into toyotas has been done before, theres several AE86's out there with SR's in them.....
Also someone had mentioned rotary before me, and to me rotary has been played out in Miami and puerto rico.... 3sgte was mentioned already, so I dunno where else do we go ? 2jz? 1jz? its already been mentioned one way or another so my options for suggestions are low...
Just gimmie a break for god sakes...

Thought about a Supra engine or even a V-8, but the front of the car is just not condusive to so much engine hanging out in front of the wheels. Way to nose heavy, not to mention the firewall work needed to be done for a straight six to squeeze in there.

My vomit comment was supposed to be a funny joke and I'm sure slash got it...sorry to have offended anybody who doesn't like jokes. Anyway, by the time you spend the cash on putting an SR into a car is was never intended for, you might as well just throw a chevy 350 in there if all you want to do is go fast. If you're trying to stick with toyota-ness in what will eventually be a classic, I'd applaud that decision.
