the JDM is the same as the USDM except no EGR cooler/pipes. otherwise, youll still need to, at the very least, retorque the bolts.. youd be better of doing the HKS MHG job while the motor is out of the car and its portable.
its hard to find a shop who can put the correct finish on the block and head... if you cant, youll have to get the Lapping tool from Reg Reimer... the SONiC tool to remove the fly-cutter ridges. im sure you know all about what it takes to puton a MHG right?
you should also hook it up w/ some ARP head studs, rather than bolts. but while your have the head off, you should built it w/ some Crower parts and HKS 272's... gasket match the intakes to the heads, knife edge the dividers, back cut the seats, blend the valve bowls, smooth the long side radius of the ports. on the exhaust side, also unshroud the valves by cutting away the divider.

actually, its the exorbitantly low torque values that the factory applies to the stock bolts, and the fact that EVERY service manual abides by the 54 ft/lb spec... so ANY mechanic that is even half-way decent at reading and followin instructions will propagate the BHG problems of 7M's... the EGR cooler and the heater core hoses dont help anything, neither does the placment of the stock cat... they all contribute to keeping the back of the block hot, for much longer than the rest of the motor... this will cause warping and distortion as the rest of the motor cools after shutdown, but since the EGR cooler, stock precat, and heater core are all grouped around the #6... its gonna stay hotterrr for longer... not good

let me be the first to correct you...... um no...
get experience and stop trying to spread around what you hear on supraforums.... look at the skiny/long head design on these cars, with their age and the heat it goes through.. people think by torquing it down they can boost more....... NOT!
