4AGE Question
If you have a 86 MR2 4AGE motor, is that engine config. the same as rear wheel drive and it will bolt up and wire up directly into the 86 corolla with the intake and everything the same as my stock 4age motor?

Intake amniolf TB is on wrong side so you need Corolla Intkae manifold as well as exhaust manifold .
The coolant neck is different on the AW11 because it's basically a FWD motor . The mtor is mechanically the same though . Just hwo you can't fit like a Bluebird SR20 into a Sivlia/180

I agree

i did this swap, not really a swap but i picked up a motorless corolla and pulled the motor out of my running mr2.
along with needing the corolla manifolds. you will also need the make sure that you contunue to order mr2 water pumps or swap over to the corollla water pump pully, the corolla water pump plus the mr2 pully = a slighly out of alignment pump that will eat belts about every 500 miles.
this was the biggest deal with my swap.
also i suggest using the mr2 ECU, Mr2 air meter, also the Mr2 dizzy. all these parts have there advatages over the stock corolla parts.
Ecu has a slightly more agressive map and a higher rev limiter.
Air meter has a round hose like intake meaning any aftermarket filter just slides on.
the distibuter has a nice heat shield that helps seprate it from the exhaust manifold.
when plugging in the harness everything is color coaded correcly eside from the mr2 dizzy, its two green plugs into two grey plugs. you cant mess them up its one male and one female style so they wont plug in wrong.
thats all the odditys about the swap that i can think of off hand.
