Default KBprice and discussion on plug wires.

The reason Ive said that.. is Its pretty much known in the dynotuning world that for imports stock OEM wires perform better than ALL aftermarket wires when attatched to NGK's.

Think I'm wrong? Talk to Vapor, it seems that every other phone call he gets is of some sorta power problem that is solved by getting rid of your Magnacore/MSD/whoeverelsemakesstupidwires manufacturer and your Bosch Platinum/Denzo Irridium/ WhoeverelsesellsstupidnamedplugsbesidesNGK with NGK standard or Iridium.

I dunno, this isnt ment to flame you, but nobody is ever gonna convince me to EVER put ANYTHING but OEM spec wires and NGK plugs in any kind of street car.. ( sure theres exceptions for RACE CARS 900+HP what not, but thats just the wires, not the NGK's)

<-- Stock wires, NGK plugs. Work fine for me. 95k on the wires.

In your opinion, should I swap the wires at 100k, or just not bother?

Do it, its about time for a normal tune up anyway.. but the thing is, once you do it you dont have to worry about it again for a long time

O.K. slashy.....

last i remember kirk (kbprice) was bein a smartass about my car....the only comment made about wires was "new plug wires"....then you jumped in and asked if they were o.e.m....he replied sarcastically that they were jdm trd upgrade etc.etc......to further crack on my car......

Now you are callin him out like he is in idiot..( only i can call him that) ......he happens to have a pretty nice supra and it runs pretty damn well too....so he does know what he is doin....

We thank you for your concern, but there is no need to call people out like that!

And kirk i know you could answer yourself but, it was just annoying me.

I have used NGK stock replacement wires over OEM toyota wires and they performed just as well as OEM, I mean heck, toyota plug wires are made by NGK so there really shouldnt be a difference.

no no this wasnt ment to "call-out" anyone. I wasnt aware that it was a Joke about the wires, i thought you REALLY HAD some sort of wierd performance wire. I'm just trying to help out, my Sohc and Z ran TERRIBLE and showed noticible improvement when i went from Bosch Platinums and Magnacore (Z), and Nology with Champion (240sx) to the OEM and NGK.. They are like the building blocks of tuning, just one of the very first things you check when something goes wrong...
