We want TR to thrive and grow. So, if you actually make it to be a moderator, it's something for the long haul and being active. Help is what the site needs and making this a fun and positive place is the goal...

Just a thought, if this is an attempt to get a few more people involved in the forum it goes both ways. Whoever feels like they will 'be more involved' if theyre a mod will probably be butthurt & not participate if they arent 'chosen'. I think what we need is more people participating and maybe then choose some of THOSE people for mods if they want. I understand that might be a little more work for yall, but just thought it might work a bit more. Over moderation has clearly failed in the past. Feel free to delete this or not, just thought id throw my 2cents.

One criteria for a moderator might be to pick people who have not expressed hostility toward members.

Not expressing hostility toward members is a pretty good criteria for retention of current moderators. I think we all know that's not going to happen.

We all know that the paragraph:
"People are able to comment on your application and tell us what they think about you and why.." does not apply to, and will not be tolerated by, you-know-who and is grounds for edit/delete/close/lock.-Bob

Who are you always referring to? Why all the cheap shots with no ballsack attached to it? Instead of trying to capitalize on every possible moment to make your "you-know-who" references childishly - avoid your useless repetitiveness for the sake of making a useless point..

The above serves as an example of harmless criticism that should not be confused with "expressed hostility towards members"

and to top it off, it cant be about me because you yourself have given me many Pms and rep point comments such as :
"Senor Honda is giving rep for REY's efforts to clean up fights, insults, and name calling in Gen Car Chat"

So, everyone please read what DRMORTY has placed as directions and avoid trying to get off track for your own personal sake.
WE are ALL trying to collectively make the right choices and changes for the benefit of the site as a whole and no need to cheapen the whole thing with childish commentary throughout the whole site.

I'm a fair person and when I said:
"Senor Honda is giving rep for REY's efforts to clean up fights, insults, and name calling in Gen Car Chat". For that particular thread, on that particular day, it was true. I have given rep
to other people also.

It's true I have sent PM's to people, including you.

No cheap shots here. It's the truth. A current mod can do what he wants,
will not tolerate even pointing it out, and members have no recourse, no hearing
of actions taken by him. The person I spoke of is very likely to do
what I said in the last paragraph of post #6 and naming him will result in retaliation
toward me.

Even though I can support what I have said, I have no hearing, no recourse
for those actions mentioned and I'm not looking for more of what I spoke of.
