Moderator Application
TR Username: zedron
Age: 25
Car:
94 Integra, 97 Civic, 2006 Dodge Ram, 2010 Civic
Forums you would like to moderate:
Preferably: Local Events, Meets and Greets - the Newbie forum (Always willing to help and welcome new members), Honda/Acura Tech
Willing to take: Anything where my help would be needed but preferably not dealing with domestics. (Not really any knowledge here so I am not interested in even going in the thread.)
Any specific car knowledge:
Mostly just Honda/Acura but have been getting into the truck scene since my Ram purchase. TR was the place that made me get as interested as I am with cars in general.
Any experience at moderating:
3 Years at another car specific forum. Hondahookup.com
The main job of a moderator is:
Stop flaming and keep the board a friendly place, free of personal insults. They are expected to stay out of all argumentative debates. Granted, moderators may participate provided they remain civil and generally obey the site rules as everyone else. I feel that I as a moderator should not moderate any discussion or topic that I am involved in to avoid conflict of interest and/or bias between other members.
Why should you become a moderator:
I have been a member of the "TR" community before it was split up between TF and TR. Back then only TR existed and I met a bunch of great people from the various meets, especially the Bennigans meet that I went to by the stadium. I know I dont have many posts for being a long time member here but I never really had the urge to post in random threads with something random to say. But, just because I don't have alot of posts doesnt reflect how I would act as a moderator. I try my hardest not to make enemies and I think I can say that everyone here who has met me can have nothing but good things to say. If not good then it would just be nothing because it surely wouldnt be anything bad. If given the power of a moderator I will not use it to my personal benefit as some others might do. This site has been here for me everytime I needed it and I feel that I should repay the favor.
List users who do not like you:
As far as I know of there are none. I try not to incite conflict wherever possible.
I realize there may be no response to this post:
I am fine with this. If the admins do not feel that I would be a valuable asset to the community then that is their choice and will accept it.
