I have a suggest, I think the people that create a thread should be able to delete posts from other people in there thread. It would make it easier for people to keep there thread related to the topic at hand and it would also take off some of the pressure off the mods who realisticlly can't be on here all the time. It would be a great tool for anyone who is tired of all the unrelated chatter and flaming that has been going on lattely. Is this an idea that has been tried before, is there any chance this can be put in effect?

 

I agree. It's not invasive, as members would only have moderation powers in their own threads.

Dang thats a shame, I understand that it is one of the jobs of an administrator to manages/delete post. But I figured allowing the thread starter to help manage there threads would help the administers by allowing them to focus on other issues. I myself have been writing a few messages to different mods to try to clean up a thread of mine of idle chit chat, but no responses in 3 days. There are so many different threads on TR and there are not enough mods to watch them all I believe this would be an awsome idea. Why not try it for a month and see?

It's the same reason many people are moderators on this forum. No one actually cares about this site's quality. They're stuck in their old ways, unwilling to try anything new unless it comes from the 'inside' circle, who mysteriously have nothing to contribute.

I had someone who considers himself " well liked" on this site steal a shitload of pictures of work I did.Turn around and watermark them with his own shop forum name and phone number.I could have any customer who owned the parts in the pictures verify who did the work and all(Some customers actually saw me work on their parts).A customer of mine had asked the certain someone to take them down.He bitched and moaned they were his pictures,and that the owner should be happy he has pictures of his stuff up,because "no one wouldve known he owned the wheels unless HE posted the pictures".

PLENTY of people on this site know how he is.Probably even know his bullshit story of why we split and dont associate at all.

They wont do shit about it.

Yet Joe Dono lies about pictures he posts and he got banned for it,plus whatever ordeal and you still hear about it til this day.

scnat I do thank for setting up my shop forum and listening to somewhat of the sitatuation being that he was the only one to actually help me out.Even though he couldnt do anything about the problem I was trying to get situated.I was directed to Zate.Who hasnt returned a single PM Ive sent him til this day.

I AM NOT COMPLAINING,Im stating that I totally agree with this gentlemens thought.It seems like rules are made that are due to childish problems.Problems that SHOULD be dealt with in different manners are just pushed to the side.Apparently you can run from your problems on the internet.

I suppose we have to be some nutswinging Mr. popular who is cool for whatever spoof ass reason of the moment to get any attention.

btw zate gets probably like 50 PMs/emails a day from/about TR so its a hit or miss to get through unless its REALLY important.

i'm gonna get an admin to look at this thread and post on the matter because its not any of the green-team's decision to make.

 

The time I spent busting my ass on such parts I have pictures up of are important to me.I spent the countless hours polishing shit.NO ONE ELSE.Is it because every single person Ive cleaned up headlights for,installed plugs and wires OR polished a set of their wheels,a valve cover etc didnt leave me a TRader rating that I am considered non-legit?


For what,someone else to CLAIM it as their own and show it off and copy my whole post and paste it in a new thread in their shop forum?
