Just posting an app doesnt mean you get a mod job. Having people "vote" doesn't mean anything either. When we think we have a need for a new mod in an area, we generally look around in here.
Couple of points, not related to Col Mustards app.
There are 3 types of users when it comes to being a mod. Those who's name we know because they post in Pit Road alot, create problems and make work for us. Those who we have never heard of because they just go about their business and those who we know because they'd done something nice to get noticed.
most people are category 2, and that is fine. Category 1 havent much of a chance of getting anything but a ban boot in the ass. Cat 3 often get tapp'd for modding duties but it's not guaranteed.
Generally when we NEED a mod, we look for one. Just posting up an app lets us know you are interested, but doesnt put you in a line, and again.. voting doesnt help at all. I dont look for mods with the most votes, i look for people who I think will do a good job.
and by "I" i mean scnat, he handles the adding/removing of mods.. he is the one who decides if we need a new mod.
just trying to clear that up.
