i'm partial to my mrt fmic i like the fact that you get to keep the fog lights and you get the biggest core available for the wrx
the only flaw i can say i don't like is the routing of the tubes the way they run the air after its run through the intercooler right over the turbo to heat it up again i've been told that it dosen't affect the air but that pipe gets pretty hot

I run the GReddy, but would say that the MRT and APS are somewhat prettier and definitely require less cutting. I'm not running giant boost, so I was pretty concerned about boost drop across the core and lag. GReddy uses the smallest volume front mount core that I'm aware of and there are some benefits to having a more vertically than horizontally long core, but on big boost the gain in lag would be minimal at best.

I own none, but I would say APS. Which is what I want but I might just wait and put money towards an STi. As far as I know the APS is larger then the MRT?

Why buy the STi Matt? Just wait for some jackhole to roll his and pillage that mofo like a viking berserker! That's my plan. Hopefully next year I'll have the means/connections to do a 2.5 swap and find a way to acquire the six-speed box for less than the price of a kidney. Then it's on.
