What kind of products do you want?

All of you Subaru people,

What kind of products would you like to see us carry.

What have you been wanting but could not find or thought it was too much?

Just give us some suggestions.

Kyle

Zate 06-19-2003 11:57 AM

do you guys stock ScoobySport exhausts ? .. IMO they are the #1 exhaust for the WRX/STi...

M249SAW 06-19-2003 12:08 PM

We contacted them but they are set up with rallyperformance. They believe they do not need any other distributors in the US.

Plus rallyperformance is not the most reliable place for us to buy from.

They are nice exhausts though.

Kyle

Zate 06-19-2003 12:11 PM

yeah.. thats a pity.. they make the best exhausts.. but their distribution method sucks alot..

I cant think of anything else off the top of my head that you guys dont have access too that woudl be good.. although i am out of the Subaru loop pretty much..

good luck.

(hey i seen the STi sittin at mastro the last couple of nights.. if Pete needs someone to make sure its being driven and stuff.. let me know ;) ) .. LOL

M249SAW 06-19-2003 12:12 PM

Don't you worry about the STi. I've put mre miles on it than Pete.

It just hit 600 miles

Zate 06-19-2003 12:21 PM

oh believe me.. i am not worried about the STi at all ;)

Billy 06-19-2003 02:47 PM

I can't really think of anything off the top of my head either. You guys already have a pretty wide selection of products in stock or just an order away.

TampaWRX 06-19-2003 07:15 PM

Wholesale Kaminari kits, at least hoods!! That would definitely work out nicely for me. :D Our friends at you-know-where won't give me a rate on the Kaminari stuff. Short of that, I'm thinking you're good to go for the time being.

You should carry stuff from those Perrin guys. They make nice parts. ;)

Bone 06-19-2003 07:42 PM

more general go fast stuff that are free :-D
other than that I cant really think of anything

Bald Guy 06-19-2003 07:56 PM

Flowmaster, Edelbrock and Holley. ;)

Tits McGee 06-19-2003 11:03 PM

Jun, Mugen, and Spoon. :p

blackwagon 06-20-2003 04:01 AM

I want the Jun turbo manifold/setup :o

TampaWRX 06-20-2003 06:16 AM

JUN would definitely be a nice addition. I forget who their regional distributor is, if they have one at all. Might be best to bring it direct from Japan, if you can establish a direct connection for the goods.

CrapBag 06-20-2003 07:08 AM

apparantly jun has left the country so you would have to go through japapn anyway
but jun would be nice
i heard they were selling the i-manifolds but not the intercooler for them

Sunrise City Rider 06-20-2003 09:06 AM

Get a shop to make Fuel Rails for us...That are affordable...Make some nice Series to Parallel Fuel Line Kits...Work on some Aero Underbody Diffusers...A cheaper Upgraded Radiator...

Zee

TampaWRX 06-20-2003 08:24 PM

I'd be interested in the JUN manifold...maybe. :) Not sure how much more power there is to get out of my setup safely. :)

Ryan - pm'd you about your seats

M249SAW 06-21-2003 06:08 AM

You do realize with the JUN intake manifold you have to ditch the A/C

Kyle

CrapBag 06-21-2003 07:44 AM

thats ok for that set up i'd do it :hump:

TampaWRX 06-21-2003 04:37 PM

I thought they was some talk of engineering a street version of the JUN setup? I was kidding about being interested though, hence the smiley. That's a little out of my means at the moment. :)

plas 06-23-2003 06:13 AM

Kyle, Do you sell APS? I recently heard a rumor that you do.

matt

Billy 06-23-2003 08:01 AM

Those APS turbos are so overrated, and don't flow for shit ;)

M249SAW 06-24-2003 03:51 AM

Yes we now carry APS

Dirt Man 06-24-2003 10:45 AM

What kind of products do you want?
PRODRIVE cockring!!!!!:o

Zate 06-24-2003 10:48 AM

Can ya get me headers and cat back ? ;)

Opie 07-07-2003 10:01 AM

How about importing JDM motors and tranny's and performing swaps! :D

Zate 07-07-2003 11:53 AM

now we are talking..hehe.. source some cheap relatively low mile jdm WRX and STi engines.. tranies and diffs.. and do swaps :)

TampaWRX 07-07-2003 03:13 PM

JDM 6-speed! JDM 6-speed! :) People have transplanted these without all the addtional hardware, so it can be done. Would be very interested in exploring this avenue later this year. :D

M249SAW 07-08-2003 03:49 AM

We could do the 6-speed but I don't think anoyone will want to pay the price.

Plus there is the problem hooking up the electronic center diff.

I will look into it though.

CrapBag 07-08-2003 05:32 AM

how strong is the six speed cause i've heard its pretty weak

TampaWRX 07-08-2003 06:15 AM

Ryan - most people I've talked to claim it can handle 400bhp or thereabouts without issue, assuming you're not planning on doing a lot of 6500RPM clutch drops. :)

Kyle - the cost is definitely very prohibitive. You can get the JDM 6-speed to work without changing diffs...can't remember the hardware involved in making it work though. A couple of guys on NASIOC have had it done...might do a search over there.

Will we be able to order six-speed housings from Subaru as a replacement part and fill it with our own gears? Would be interesting to see if we could find someone to machine hardened gears identical to the OEM parts. Would probably stilll be cheaper than the STi gearbox with install! Get the proper final drive in there and it becomes a simple matter of installing a shortened drive shaft.

Cost is always going to be a huge issue though.

mofugga 07-09-2003 04:24 PM

i'd like to see more stuff for the 98-01 RS's but then again i have no money to buy anything

4 Struts, 2 Fog Light Covers, 2 Taillights & 2 Corner Lamps, all for a JDM STi :D

A few more peices in the 2.5RS to Version 6 STi conversion process. Only need about 4 more things to finish it off...but of course they are the most expensive!
Version 6 Rear Wing
Version 6 Motor (Complete)
Version 6 Transmission & R180 Rear Diff
Version 6 Brakes

TampaWRX 07-10-2003 03:51 PM

DAMN! Didn't know you were going all the way Opie!! Right on dude! :mullet: Your RS will soon be another car in long line of Scoobs that can kick my ass on the street. :D Very nice.

Not to be a smart ass but that is the reason alot of places don't do stuff for the GC8. I have gotten burned numerous times on special order stuff.

if you want the specs from the vishnu rails i have them...then you can just go to a machine shop and get them for probably 50% less than vishnu sells them for.

2TurboImports 07-15-2003 09:41 PM

just say....i'd like a stick of metal...hollow...with 2 holes 4 inches apart.....

Billy 07-16-2003 04:26 AM

I've also got the MRT fuel rails sitting here, not in the car yet if someone wanted to take a peek. When they go in I'm also going to be replacing the fuel lines from the fuel filter forward with some SS equal length ones, I'll be sure to keep the measurements ;).
