sell it get the stealth it also has the adjustable spring rate which is nice, and hippy boost isnt directly related to throttle position its the load the engine is under, more load = more exhaust = more boost, (a simpliefied way of saying it but yea thats it)

that still makes no sence to me....more load doesn't mean more exhaust even though it might be easier to get boost when you are in higher gears. It makes more sence to me that the transmition is putting more backpressure on the intake and that is what makes the boost more consistent in higher gears. That would also make sence as to why a leak would affect your car more in a higher gear. those are my thoughts on the subject, but I'm probably wrong

I replaced the IC/BOV gasket last night but I really only had a chance to make a run or two so it's hard to say if it's really better.
I did notice that while engine is idling the BOV piston is bouncing a tiny bit but I dunno if it's normal or not.

I took it for another spin at lunch and it still doesn't seem to be right. The only other thing I can think of before I remove the BOV is try resetting the ECU as I did not reset it when I installed the BOV.

I don't know, I can't see the BOV being something that would require an ECU reset. It doesn't hurt to try though.
I would try going through your hoses with some soapy water before yanking the BOV. Although, the more I think about it the more I am thinking that may be your problem
