Default Thinkin about the WRX

OK i know i have bounced between cars..This is what i am lookin for. 4 door car with some sporty kick to it. enc WRX, Mazdaspeed, SE-R Spec V.

This will be my first Manual car(but i have drivin a manual black eclipse rs). I have some ?'s

Warranty issues with the WRX?
Is it to much car for me u think?
I hear the trannys suck is that true?
and finally(i think) good mods for beginner for this car?

It's a great inexpensive car. The transmission is totally fine assuming you're not a total idiot with it. I've had my WRX for well over an year and 30,000 miles and no problems. The small issues I did have have all been very easily and quickly resolved via the warrenty on a mildly modified vehicle.

The only thing I regret is not getting the wagon. It's much more practicly as the seat does not fold down on the sedan.
