2002 WRX 5sp.
mods:
MRT 3" turboback exhaust
VF30 Turbo
MRT large top-mount intercooler
MRT uppipe
AEM Cold air intake
GFB blowoff valve
Before Ecutek:
190.6 wheel horsepower
After Ecutek:
257.3 wheel horsepower
Gain:
66.7 wheel horsepower

pretty impressive..
thing is Kyle.. you'll get similar results from ECUTek or Cobb ACCess ECU (or what ever it is) or just about anything with those mild mods..
i still pick the PwerFC as the best for a High HP engine..
no doubt i'd be going ECUTek on a STi if i got one though
What'll Pete gimme for the mustang in trade for a STi?.. LOL

sorta slow.. but much much better
allows you to toally mod the stock ECU maps.. not even the subaru tools can tell its been modded .. allows you to tune the stock ECU..

I agree with Zate on his first point, the Ecutek is a good product and does its job well but so does the AccessECU, etc. It really comes down to the tuning that is involved that determines howw much poser is going to be made and how reliable it will be.
As far as a high hp application, I would do some for of stand alone engine management. I've heard good things about the Motec, but it is pricey. And I have seen some very good things doen with Haltec...etc, etc,..
