Ecutek troubles and other issues
The main issue is the design of the intake, if it's too big a diameter, too much unmetered air gets by and does not get corrected, causing a lean condition.
There are some good ones and some real junk. According to several good sources, the stock set up flows very well, and the car should be recalibrated to compensate for a larger correct flow.

Exactly my point. The stock one does flow great, and most people will never notice a differance...that's why I said I wouldn't buy one again. But, with the proper tuning a larger diameter intake can work just fine and not cause a lean condition. Hence, one of the uses of the wide-band O2 used when tuning

It's no biggy Kyle...like I said I wouldn't do it again but since it is there I will keep it and tune for it. I just feel that the gains I get from it aren't worth the price of buying a new one.
