Subi Daytona update
You race fans should probably try and watch this on TV. The qualifying was very short but we were able to qualify 7th position, surrounded by Mustang, Camaros and few BMWs. The race started in the rain so this helped us, but it dried out before long. After our driver/fuel/tires pit stop at just before the halfway point we worked our way up to the 3rd spot. Hopefully, that will be on TV because there was some awesome competition there. There was a caution with about 70 minutes to go, we dipped for fuel and tires, everybody else stayed out banking on another yellow. They were right, we were wrong they had an 11 lap yellow which we could have benefited from. (If only we had a crystal ball!). SO we started the last green flag segment in 23rd. There were a few shot yellows and we were able to claw back to (I think) 11th with the "train" right in front of us. On the last lap we tried to crack the top 10 but a Mustang spun in the bus stop right in front of us and we nailed him taking us out of the race with about a mile to go.
Overall we had good power at a place where the Subi is normally at a big disadvantage, our next race is at Barber. which is more suited to us.
