Default Flywheel and clutch

I got an 04 STi with 102,000 and the clutch is starting to slip.. Gonna get a new clutch set, and a lightened flywheel..

Any problems with lightened flywheel on a subie? I had one on my Integra, and loved it but that was N/A..

Any thought on this?

Depending on how light it is it can cause issues with stalling . I prefer the stock flywheel as do many Subie owners

The car tacks up quick right now. My teg was stupid quick, I just learned how to shift with out the revs falling fast. Now i jump in to the subie that is stock, and have to break that habit. It looks like stock flywheel is gonna be it.. So i'm looking about $350 for a good clutch kit

Whats your plans for the sti, power wise? That will help u decide on a clutch. I like the ACT 6puck sprung, it will hold 600 wtq easily. Its held plenty of launches for me Last thing u want to do is end up changing the clutch out because u put in something that was weak sauce

That's the one i was looking at.. Something Better than stock. Planning for future upgrades. Idk what I want to do for upgrade wise.. I know i want to do a 3" downpipe with a 3" electronic exhaust cutout, and have the downpipe bolted to the factory exhaust for any comaros, or mustang owners out there looking for a race.. flip the switch, and off I go watching them get ever so smaller in my rear view mirror.

^^ agreed. and on the flywheel subject, i have the exedy lightweight flywheel. no stalling issues here. the rpms do rev/drop quicker though. definitely adds responsiveness but not so much power.
