Default My 97 Impreza L

The car is currently sporting most of its stage cage. It sits on dms suspension with 17x8 Enki rpf01's and nitto nt05 tires. Stopping it is 04 sti rotors with wilwood 6 piston calipers up front, and oe wrx discs in the rear. The stock ej18 has a td04 from an 08 wrx and some fancy header with built in uppipe that I forgot the name of. I may even be able to figure out how to fit in the wrx intercooler that I have. Gone is the cable clutch, and a hydraulic setup with a stage 1 exedy and 12.5 lb flywheel in used instead. There's probabley more stuff that I'm forgetting about, and way more stuff that I need to get to make the car work. Right now, It's about half way to being a tarmac stage rally car. Now I just need to finish the other half.

Nice GC, like what your plans are. I have a 97 GF4 (OBS) and a 00 GC4 sedan.

I am thinking of going the same route with the 00. Who did the cage work? I like!!

If your not already on there, check out RS25.com. Lots of info on the GC body style! Start a build journal. I would like to see the finished product.

This place only seems to have eyes for the GD And GB body.

It's the autopower super race roll cage. My brother and I did all the work that is in the pictures in one day. I have a pro tools bender, but the pre bent and measured cage made my life so much easier. The kit saves at least a weeks worth of work. All you need is a hole saw, chop saw, grinder, and wlder to complete the cage. I hope to have the cage and seat rails done by Monday.

Yeah. It looks a bit rough. Once the cage is in, I'll wire wheel a lot of the inside, get rid of the rust, then paint it. Then the dash, home made door panels, seats, and windsheild will go in. Next it will be time to get it running. Lastly, something will have to be done about exterior appearance. I'm a bit anxious to drive it.

Thanks. The car is looking a little better right now. I primered the interior because I was tired of the rust. A wire wheel, deruster spray and several hours later it looked a little like this. Now when I work on it it get dirty looking really fast like it is right now.
