subaru down!! not out! lol
so doing some runs the other day and had some problems..... i spun a bearing. sucks alot but got it apart and going to put jp pistons ,Manley H-Beam Rods, Manley 79mm Crankshaft and arp head studs from ams perfromance. anyone have any comments on that setup? i have a 06 wrx with vf39 20 psi and ran that on stock bottom end till now lol.. so figured i would do this setup to maybe hold a little more but was pretty happy with the performance of it before... also i know that i have to replace others because metal in oil these r just the upgrades thanks!

I'm running an 07 WRX with forged pistons (wiseco), arp headstuds, TGV deletes, ported IM, and ported headers with a VF39 with Sti TMIC. Like Im_Slow said, my engine is overkill for the turbo setup. I know you have a few different pieces but whats the point of an engine capable of 500hp and a turbo that can make only 300? Dont expect any major changes, if anything you will lose some low end due to stock compression being much higher than any forged pistons out there. In my case I just havent gotten around to getting a new turbo and when I do atleast I'll have an engine thats ready to handle it.

On a VF39 or a turbo smaller than a 44lb turbo, you wont notice a difference on a dyno. Once you go larger than that, regular TGVs will start becoming a restriction.
