Thumbs up GC8 engine swap

Im looking for a Subaru performance shop thats capable of swapping a 2002-2005 USDM 2.0L turbo WRX engine into a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS.

If you are interested you can contact me at nkmk555@yahoo.com or shared_pm me for my phone number.

Thanks, Nick

Good luck bro. Ive been looking Into swaps myself for my 01rs... And vie decided def no usdm stuff for me. Unless I can get a gd wagon for like $2000, which would never happen. Wiring a usdm swap is starting to sound like the most involved wiring one could incur for what options are available.

If you decide on a jdm v3-v6 sti swap and find a place selling halfcuts for a FAIR price (ie, not $4000). Lmk!

If it's gonna be a daily driver I would go USDM, parts are cheaper and easier to find. You can get the wiring done at ECS or iWire for like $600 btw.

Ive also been told that too. I'm still trying to find out if general maintenance on a jdm motor will be doable, like timing belt, alt, ps, tensioners, seals, etc. I liked the idea of a jdm since they already push ~280hp without tgvs, no tdo4's (even though I think a vf22 is what I'd go for anyways) and that the jdm wiring allegedly is plug and play once the chassis end of the harness is extended. I was concerned with the comments that usdm wiring doesn't have a connector break inside the car.

I'm still trying to learn this stuff...
