Default Why the need for a iwg bracket?

Just wondering why you need a bracket to close your iwg cus when I put everything in I took the hose off that led to the iwg. So if there is no line leading to that then how could the arm open the door?

With no vacuum line the only thing holding the wastegate closed is the spring. VF series turbos have like a 10psi spring so it is possible to blow the flapper open at higher boost levels. This is why people put helper springs on the stock turbo. You could run this way, but the proper way to do it is either a bracket or welding. IMO theres no reason not to run a bracket since you can make one with like $5 of stuff from Home Depot.
