In short since ive had my car it used to over boost.Fixed that with a manual boost controller then it would buck really hard when heavy accelerating till it hit boost in 2nd and 3rd.So fixed that by going to a a oem bcs.Well not the car wont hold boost over 10lbs it hits 15 and the flutters back and forth through 19 and 10 now i think it maybe my wastgate but i had another idea just a thought but when i had my car up on a lift yesterday my friend pointed out to me that my exhaust has a huge hole in it.The entire back of the muffler is comming off almost and is blown out.Could this be causing issues due to the back pressure and throwing the car for a loop??

 

If its back by the muffler that shouldnt affect boost like that.

I would still think its your wastegate fluttering.... have you tightened that or hell just upgrade the turbo

I talked to Ryu, he seems to say that its the tune. What he said was that if the wastegate were worn out, the diaphragm would either hang open, which would enable low boost, or hang shut, which would cause over boosting. He said it sounds like the wastegate is fine, but the ECU is confused and doesnt know where to hold boost. He is willing to tune it at S&R one day.

 

If hes running a MBC its not going through the ECU, unless hes running in parallel with a EBCS (which then it could be tune issue) However its unlikely hes running that setup. If he is, I reccomend you talk to who ever tuned the car in the first place.

 

To OP, if you want to run a log and perhaps reflash a map (if you use opensource) I'd be more than happy to help you out (I have a tactrix, laptop and I've tuned a few cars)

 

He got rid of the MBC, and is running the stock EBCS. So it seems to be an ECU issue then. The car has not been tuned. Still running OEM parameters.

 

did you fuck with the pill?

 

He actually thought that was the issue, so he got a new pill... still not working.

 

hmmm is it building boost normal then just doesnt hold?
