by the way, do you think the engine is damaged from the previous owner driving without a tune? any problems in the future?

 

only way to tell would have a compression test done

 

The way to tell if its tuned.. Go do a 5th gear pull. If it hits boost cut (car bucks and backfires) Its most likely untuned. With a turbo back exhaust the car will hit higher boost then what the ECU will allow.

The boost cut in a Stock STI is 14.5 PSI. Not sure where the 7 PSI safe mode came from

GO by S&R Performance and talk to them. You will find out if it is tuned or not!
