Default Perrin Performance

Common sense would tell you If you purchase a Perrin FMIC and a Perrin CAI, they would work together, right? Wrong. Perrin put under their FMIC's compatibility section that their CAI is not designed to fit. Of course, when I upgraded my parts, I purchased the FMIC and then later bought the CAI. No where under the CAI does it say "not compatible with Perrin FMIC". Lesson learned I guess, very shitty though. Other than that, I love Perrin's quality of their parts. What do you guys think about them?

^ I like their quality, but I've seen 2 bent intercooler brackets out of the box with them and I'm sick of it (yours was the worst; don't worry, we fixed it well )... And it wasn't like it got damaged in shipping, either - the box was perfect.

Other than that, though, everything feels very high quality. Probably second to APS in terms of quality, but still great.

I've seen the complete opposite with Perrin parts on the Legacy side. TMIC won't fit unless you reclock the turbo on the 5MT, FMIC piping bulges the side of the bumper. Catback has poor fitment.

^ I ordered a friend of mine the Perrin TMIC for his 05 Legacy, fit perfect. You sure you just didn't just have a faulty one?

How much clearance does he have between his clutch reservior and the endtank? I know the majority of the owners either have the endtank touch the reservior, or have it so close it rubs on acceleration. I personally will not spend $600 to try it out and I'm not going to run a top mount anymore when I upgrade. The scoop just isn't big enough to collect enough air.
