Default OpenPort 2.0 cable + adapters?

Does anyone have an OpenPort 2.0 cable + adapter set I can rent or borrow?

For those who don't know me, I'm as trustworthy and careful with other peoples' property as possible, and others here can vouch for that.

If your talking about cable for tunning the car, you can get one on ebay that is generic VAG cable and it works with out any issues on vista, XP is bit of paint to set up.

I have a 2.0 but no adapters. I won't be back in the Bay area until the beginning of next week though. Aren't you running Hydra anyway?

This is a separate WRX. My "real" one has a Hydra.

I checked and I believe Fastone is right, so I am just going to drop the $14 on a VAG-COM cable from eBay unless someone has one locally?

I'm not positive, but how come so many people buy the "real" cable for well over $100 if its the same thing? Basically, just make sure it will definitely work before purchasing. Kind of like my Avic in-dash. Plugging a regular Ipod connector into it will not play music from the Ipod to the in-dash. I have to purchase the $30 cable from Pioneer for it to work.

There have been some compatibility and quality issues with the eBay ones. I cant speak to it directly because I have a 1.3 and 2.0 that are both authentic, but just what Ive heard. For someone who tunes their own car and doesnt just need the cable for the occasional datalog, the real deal is usually the way to go.

My understanding is that the eBay cables (VAG COM cables) will work with 02 cars.

I'm gonna bug djerickd as I think he has an OpenPort 1.x cable that might work.
