Default I'm loosing my mind...

Driving this car is worse than walking on egg shells.

Can someone tell me if the power steering reservoir cap has another piece underneath it? As if when you do a quarter turn, does it seal in place? I just noticed today that my cap doesn't stay in place when turning it. My steering wheel is pulsating when I'm driving.

I'm about to burn this thing or throw it over the skyway bridge. :'(

Nobody was. I thought it was missing something but it turns out the cap comes like that. I am above the "cold max" line and my friend's STi is on the "cold min" line and his steering is smoother. Maybe the pump is failing? I'm gonna have to go to the mechanic tomorrow and figure it out.

I swear, this STi is possessed.

Jack up the front wheels, take the cap off of the reservoir, and turn the wheels to lock, side to side, back and forth, slowly about 20 times or so. Drop the car, let it idle for a few mins making sure that the level doesn't drop too far. Lather, rinse, repeat, see if that helps. It may take a while...

Thank you for the info. I'll try that today.
