Default Valve adjustment on DOHC

I have a 1997 Legacy GT with a EJ25D. Does anyone have the special tool needed to the adjustment on the car? Could I possibly rent it? How much would it cost to get it done at a shop?
Thanks, Mike

the phase 1 ej25 is a shim over bucket design but first have you upgraded the head gaskets yet. Since the phase 1's it's a matter of when not if the gasket fails and the gasket update does require engine removal. If your looking for the cam allignment tool that is only part of the problem to be honest might as well pull the engine since it's a pretty benign job. And then your not trying to do the job on the car. Of course I'm assumingthe valve lash is what you refer to as "adjustment"

Myself or any qualified subaru mechanic can R+R a leggy motor in 8 hours add a little to do the gaskets if you need them and I'll check and set the lash as part of the whole job call 813-333-1100 and we can set up an appointment

So you can do the whole job for under $1000 and do a new timing belt while it's easy
