The Ultimate in Fail...
So I went with a couple of guys to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino (live in SRQ) last night. Never been to a casino, ended up actually winning about $100, and just wanted to try something different.
I found out the hard way just how accurate the STI fuel meter is. On our way back to Sarasota at about 1am, the STI sputtered a few times, then just shut off. I was only doing about 65-70 and we were just about to cross the Skyway Bridge. Engine just immediately stopped, RPM's went to zero and the instrument panel lit up. COMPLETELY out of gas...as in pulled over on the side and couldn't even get it restarted!
Ended up waiting about 30 mins for AAA. Asked the guy if he had brought premium and he responded "uhh, sure, yeah of course" Cruised out of boost to the first exit after the skyway bridge and filled up.
Pure genius.

more importantly... why didnt you just take 75 south to Sarasota.... going across the bay twice seems a bit silly.

Ran dry after the toll to cross the bridge going southbound. Didn't quite make it to the bridge itself. It was mile marker 12 if that means anything, hehe.
