OP my best advice is get a close friend who knows lots about subarus

I had some close friends back in 1999 that all knew tons about old Subarus and that helped me a lot when I got my Legacy.

Then after years I made friends with a guy who really wanted a WRX. I ended up selling him my WRX and taught him everything i knew. He knows a ton about them now.

Also getting a friend who is into the same car is awesome because you can always come up with something to do on a weekend with one anothers cars.

Hehe, I'll try and see what I can do. I'm friends with a guy who's pretty damn good, but he only has experience with the more traditional engines like I-s and V-s. He's teaching me general stuff though, so that's helping.

As for learning from a current Subi owner, o.0 I've only met two of you guys lol

Other than that, I don't know any other owners in person.

But thank you very much for the advice!

I'll tell you what has been the biggest help with me learning these subaru boxer motors.... these guys right here in the Subaru Forums on TR. All of them are great and welcomed me with open arms, especially since I am a former Mitsu 4G63 builder. All of these members are phenomenal! Ask any one of them a question, even if you think it's dumb, and they are more than glad to help. It's people like these people that make me proud to own a Subaru....
