Cool Fun with a Jaguar XKR!

So I'm on my way home with my bro and I'm about to pull into my neighborhood when a black XKR 'vert pulls out and nails it. Needless to say, the jag has my full attention. I turn around and catch up with him. We ended up doing 3 pulls.

First pull was 35-110 and we were neck to neck. I'm so glad it was in the 60s tonight....love the cold!!

Second pull was 60-110 and I managed to inch ahead slightly.

Third time it was a disaster...for the jag! We both caught a red light together and went to about 110 again. I launched so hard my rearview mirror popped out of the bracket that holds it on the windshield and it hung by a wire. I shifted better than I normally do and ate the XKR.

At the next light, my bro and I chatted with the owner. Very cool guy, very complimentary toward my STI. It's SO rare you meet another guy out there that is NOT a dick and actually drives his car like it's meant to be driven every once in a while. And man, did that XKR sounds MEAN!

Thats a great story man. I have one similar. I was driving to my girls house in Hudson and ran into a guy with a clean red Porsche 944 Turbo. He had some upgrades done to it. We also did 3 pulls and I had him by a fender on a 35-115 roll, neck and neck on the same roll a second time, then we raced from a dig and the Subaru AWD dominated that race. But he was a nice guy. Complimented me on a nice car. Very nice guy. Seems as though the guys with the nice, expensive, luxury cars are the ones with the best sportsmanship.

I hear that. lol

I was at a redlight once and some kids next to me asked if my BMW was fast. I power braked it and proceeded to fill road with smoke. The kids in the car next to me started laughing and said I could be the coolest BMW driver ever.
