new to it and i know some of you have had it in the past...
can you download the software to tune it yourself for free? if so where?

the utec comes with a cd,install that in ur laptop and u can change what ever u want..By the way, I Want to meet up and see the new ride in person.

you need to use a program called hyperterminal, then connect to the UTEC's phone jack port with a regular telephone cable. From there, follow the instructions in the manual on the CD.... it's not user friendly

Phone line? My utec had a serial port on it........you get a serial to USB connector and plug it into laptop. Open hyperterminal and setup the settings per the UTEC manual. Call out to the UTEC and the UTEC data logger home screen. After that it is super easy my friend. Sometimes the home screen doesn't come up automatically , in that case hit escape and it should pop up.....also

i have a serial cable... so where can i dl the program from he said he lost the cd

you don't need a cd. the program is Hyper terminal and as long as you have windows.....you have hyper terminal. Program-Accessories-communications-Hyper terminal

You tune it with the hyper terminal. You can go into the map and adjust fuel,boost, timing in the map section. You can adjust everything else on the dashboard and parameter section. Data logg in the data log section and u save themm as a word file.

do you have the standard UTEC or is it the delta box? anyway, all the software for the UTEC products in online on Turbo XS website as far as the current revisions and stuff, if that's what you mean
