takes allot of time and research to find the right combo of parts to get to those times. Evo to me make a better platform for modds and repsond better to them. Like RYU here on the boards Evo9 with cams, meth, stock turbo, TwinDisc clutch, runs 10.93.

Considering theres a guy going 10.9s on an 18g in a 2.5L bugeye I dont think we're that far behind. Their 16G is pretty much the same size.

The BR shortblocks are rated to 900hp. I think hes got a little headroom.
Reason why i said that is because im assuming there are no internal work done... thought they would put that on the video.... :/

Agree!!! My evo seems to love anything I throw at it. I can go out there and just swap parts around and it either gets faster or it doesnt....

My subaru's in the past... Well not so much Seems like every little change I needed a full tune or the car did nothing for me. Also when it came to subaru you couldnt just put one thing on and be happy. It was a laundry list of parts that all needed to work together, and a tune again.

The stock sti turbos dont put out as much air flow, and I also used to wonder does the sti short gearing hurt 1/4 mile as you guys likely are passing the traps in 5th therefore one more shift needed.

And in addition to that, I think a sti guy is less likely to gut his car down. That awd motorsports evo was a highly prepped, gutted out race car basically. The only thing stock about it was the turbo. But I do think that Evos have it a little easier in making a lot of power ( 4g63) and they normally tend to set the bar higher in 1/4 emphasis than subaru.

But Evo16gs are decent turbos. Im shooting for low 11s on mines.
Theres been a few dsms that hit 10s on a 16g also.
( Though the Evo8-9 16gs are a little bigger.)

Why dont one of you subie guys get a 16g and aim for 10s LOL

I ran down a few modded evos in my WRX. Alex, remember when I ran your evo IX with 30r in my wrx? It wasn't that bad, but some say my WRX was a freak
