Default Intercool Spray Coverage good enough?

Watch this video and tell me if my IC spray coverage is adequate. I feel that using these special nozzles in the locations displayed, I have maximized the opportunity to cool down my intercooler.

Suggestions appreciated !~ Thank you!

yeah just a mist. its not the water that actually cools it, its the water evaporating that does the cooling.

lol showerheads crack me up

So its the mist that actually cools the air entering the IC, not the temperature of the IC itself that matters.. what about a combo of mist and shower head?? One to cool the IC metal, and the other to cool the air?

to be more technical water has a high heat capacity. when the water evaporates from the intercooler it then absorbs the heat and moves it away from the intercooler.

intercoolers works by increasing the surface area for the heat to escape then the air carries the heat away from the intake charge.

if you want to be crazy you could look up air to water coolers and look into building on of those.

Thanks nick!

So by soaking it with the shower heads, I'm not moving the heat away as efficiently as if I would use a light spray, which would take less time to evaporate and have more cooling affect.

The mist would also look neat imo b/c then i'd have a fog comming out of my scoop instead of streams of water and an occasional wind moved nozzle shooting streams at traffic. LOL I sprayed one lady in traffic and it went into her car. She wasn't looking and it got her, she look outside the window at the clouds with a confused look on her face!!! HAHAHA
