Default Anyone locally 'red out' the HVAC/interior?

I tried doing this myself and ran into some snags when I realized the 05-and greater models have tiny leds lighting the HVAC, not bulbs like the 04 and previous models. Anyone do this locally, I could mail it to Lightwerkz, but would like to avoid that.

Ended up doing it myself------

just a thought, but could you remove the plate off the unit and put a very small amount of red tint on each display part??? I would think this would give the same effect.

Yeah, I saw that. It involves buying a seperate set of LEDs and soldering them to the HVAC circuit board. Something i'd like to avoid, considering I'm not an electrical guru.

are you sure it involved soldering? i thought it was just a red nipple that can be purchased, you take the green one off and just throw the red one on over the bulb. not positive though.

/\ for the 05+ HVAC? Wrong and wrong. The leds are a dim white shining through the greenish tinted knobs. Putting a bulb condom or painting the leds red(which I did) results in an extremely dim output.

Ended up doing it myself. Wasn't too time consuming and only cost about 50 bucks. If anyone needs help doing this in the future, feel free to pm me
