Default turbo help

ok well last night i put my vf30 turbo on my 07 wrx and every thing went smooth. we fill the coolant up cause we lost some during the install. i start the car and the car runs fine like it always has no overheating nuthing. the only thing that happens is there is a little white smoke coming from down by where the uppipe connects to the turbo in that area
(its coolant burning). like i said it never over heated all its do is buring coolant. I fill up the resivor twice and it slowly goes down. after that i take off the cap on the resivor by the turbo. it is steaming in side there to (but my car is not overheating). the only thing i can think of is the turbo might be clagued or something. im taking it off tonight to check but what does everyone think.
thanks mike

So coolant is dripping off or down the turbo? or burning through the exhaust?

my guess is you have a small leak somewhere and its trickling down the exhaust somewhere so its drying up.. thats exactly what happened to my vq sentra at least.

Make sure the clamp on the lower coolant hose on the turbo is tight. I had an issue with my coolant hose not being tight on the bottom coolant line exiting the turbo, which caused a small leak. I replaced the snap clamps (I dont know what else to call it, but the one you need pliers to take off) and replaced it with a small screw/t-bolt type clamp and it fixed my problem.

Is it constantly smoking?

it stoped smoking. i will fill the resivor to full drive it for like a mile or two and when i get home to open the hood the coolent droped a few inch's. i purged the system but i think it could be a small leak. ill replace that clamp and try it again.

the level in the reserve tank fluctuates. check the actual radiator level when the car is cool. Do you see coolant or just smoke? Usually it smokes for a day or two after a turbo swap because of the wd-40 or pb blaster burning off or coolant that leaked onto the uppipe

true ill check the radiator to when it cools and go from there cause like i said earlier it has not over heated yet. also the only smoke i saw was when i took the radiator cap off.
