Just a heads up, the 05+ LGT, 04+ STi, 06+ WRX and I'm sure the Fozzy all share the same short block, part number 10103AB440 (I believe its not 10103AB4409L)

I believe that the 04 Fozzy actually uses a different block... doesn't that car have the EJ257 with different heads?

From my reading on nasioc and other boards, the 2.5L short blocks are the same up until 2007/2008, it's just that each car has different heads and the STi may have a different oil pan compared to the others.

Sorry to hear that man. Hate to see a fellow Fozzy owner go down with a spun bearing. Yes, the most cost effective is to go with a STi shortblock. Get a quote from S&R, Mastro or any qualified motor shop on doing the swap.
