Default Downpipes and welding

OK, so I'm trying to go catless with the ver8, because I'm crazy like that. The problem is, finding a VF-37 downpipe that's catless is all but impossible unless I want to pay almost a grand to have one brought over from the UK. I have a flange from IA Performance and picked up a used Helix dp, but the problem is that the twin scroll housing has a "dip" in the wastegate side for the dual-flappers.

So I'm soliciting thoughts. I know lots of you guys here are "in the know" with the local speed shoppes. I'd like to collect some thoughts on either custom fabbing a DP bell housing or frankensteining one together from the bell from the stock DP or something. I don't mind cutting some stuff up as long as I'll get something usable from it. I don't have a welder (yet) and can't weld (yet), otherwise I'd do it myself.

Appears that they do ceramic coating too, which is awesome. They aren't that far down the road from where I work. Maybe I'll drop in there tomorrow at lunch and see what they can do for me.
