i just recently installed a new turbo and equal length headers on my 20 wrx and after a week the car started to over heat. i replaced the thermostat and no change help don't know what to do i have no more ideas.
maybe more radiator fluid????

yeah check ur coolant level, u might have air in the system.

it should be out now that you started the car. Fill it again while the car is cold and leave the cap off. Start the car and continue to add fluid until the level remains steady. Put the cap back on and watch it. That should do it.
You can also massage the upper radiator hose to help work loose any air bubbles that might be trapped in there. Also make sure that your coolant overflow tank is at the "full" mark when cold.
The temp gauge sender is in the coolant crossover pipe that's under the intake manifold. If you fill the radiator up too fast, it can leave air bubbles in there.

why would you post before even checking the radiator fluid level?
there shouldnt be a problem with the radiator itself.
