Angry WRX Got Keyed - Picture

Hey. I'm going to graduate school at the University of Tampa and after class I got back to my car and saw a 6 inch scratch on the passanger side door. It was for sure caused by a key because I can see the grooves from the key. The scratch goes all the way through the paint and feels very rough and deep. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Any chance touch up paint would work? I have attached a picture. I appreciate everyones help.

try to buff it, if that doesnt work go to advance auto parts and get a touch up paint pen.

It almost looks accidental, if I was going to go through the trouble to key someones car I would do much better of a job.

take it to a paint shop and have them airbrush touch up paint on. You should be able to get this done for under 100 bux, and it will look pretty nice (from my experience)

Depending on how deep it is, I wouldn't recommend air brushing. When I bought my car from Mastro, there were rock chips in it and they told me they would take care of it. However, all they did was airbrush it so the rock chips went from being white to being blue. There were still divots all in the paint. But I talked to Pete and got everything squared away and they repainted those areas and it came out great.

If you get it repainted that's one thing. If the paint is missing in any areas, it should be filled with the proper touch up paint (at least 2 applications, usually). Clear coat should always be used afterwards. If airbrushed properly, you will be able to help disguise the scratch without repainting. Just make sure you take it to a very reputable shop to have it done and you shouldn't have any problems. They will buff it properly, as well, which will also help to blend the paint.
