Default Need Advise on STI!!!!!

Im Kinda new to this type of car. So I thought what the heck I might as well ask. I have now an acura intagre love the car but tierd of putting money in it and kinda of want something new. I road in my friends STi which was the 1st I have ever been in and loved the feeling better then the other cars I have been in,

Here is the prob, I have no clue what to look for in a car like that. I am going to get a used one a 04 or 05 later in the year. I am not looking to drag the car but I plan on doing auto cross with it in the future. What should I worry about? How should I og after the car when buying it. This is going to sound funny but what swagger should the car have when I am looking for it, what pin point things should I look at?

You do the same thing when you buy every car. You check to make sure it runs right. Find out if the maintenance was all properly done and how well the car is kept and for mods.
