^well, how does a tuner become established and proven? ....by tuning, right?

i'll vouch for Alex, he knows his fair share about Subarus and explained to me exactly what he was doing with every change he made.

i dont think Joe means that he doesnt know how to tune. its that he is willing to let ANYONE tune his car because he wants it tuned now. tuning is the most important mod and should be well thought out, not just the first person you can get ahold of...

i definatly agree with you faded. But if nobody gives new tuners a chance we can be missing out on some serious potential. Maybe theres some nobody, unexperienced guy (or girl FTM) with a laptop that has the potential of being the next SS (or maybe even better) and nobody gives him a chance?

i think experience counts for A LOT. but it should not bar someone from becoming what they want to be.. as long as they're willing to learn.

but yeah, i do believe tuning is the most important mod you can do and it will either make or break your car, its that simple. And the OP should definatly do his research and know how important his decision is. So i agree with you and Joe.

It depends whats done to the car.

I would not get down the street to tune my gt35r rotated car, but i may let a that know that hes doing, but not proven himself tune my stage 2.

tuning for exhaust is pretty simple if you know what your doing.

remember there was a time that Snowman was considered unproven and many did not trust him.

I believe he tuned his own car, then mannys car, then niko's car etc. and now he is more proven.

I personally know a little about tuning, but its too much responsiblity tuning others cars.

I second the impossible to get a hold of... I had to fix my map myself due to his sub par tune. Check out romraider.com perhaps they can help you with your "unfinished business" (thats what I did )
