pros and cons of 01-03 WRX's
Alrite, well I'm just starting to look around for a new car and I've been seeing some 01-03's in my price range (12-13k) with good mileage
So, i'll tell you what I am going to use it for, basically no mods, (maybe exhaust and intake) so what r the pro's and con's? I know the tranny isent as strong as some would like, but keep in mind I wont be beating the shit out of it or modding it, other than apperance and I/E

if you dont plan on add power then it will be good but honestly if you want power go with an sti

since you will be doing light mods you wont have to worry about blowing the transmission from power... but it will have a lot of miles and need a rebuild (probably around $1500 in total)... transmission will be fine for a while after the rebuild though
honestly i would look at a different car. if you dont want to really mod it out, the subaru isnt the best choice. Its not a very comfortable car, doesnt have many luxuries, has a decent amount of road noise, and is quite possibly the worlds most uneconomical 4cylinder. BMW is a good car to go with. You can pick them up for a decent price, they are comfortable, and veyr reliable.

the bugeye is the shit. i have had mine 3 years no problems yet. if you want a lot of power go with a sti but a 02-03 wrx can take 250 to the wheels. so go for it you will be happy.

I agree with 03Wrx but like Kyle said the STi is where its at. Member no matter what year Subaru u drive you always turn heads. And more respected then the hondas
