this cel comes on and off periodically when im drving mostly on the freeway and goes off in about three or four days, unless i disconnect my battery,

do any of you guys have this problem

and also where in the sti is the evap system ???

 

did you make sure your cap is tight?

did u upgrade ur fuel pump? cause it could be the gasket or the seal on the fuel pump plate on the tank

 

fuel pump is still stock cant find where the problem is

 

Just from reading the link...was wondering if you tried turning your gas cap at least 3 x's after filling....i threw a CEL once after filling up, reset the battery and screwed the cap at least 3x's and never threw a cel again. It may sound stupid, but i've had probs with a diff. car and those gas cap censors.

 

I had this problem on my WRX forever. It is a small emissions leak. It seemed to mainly come on when I was cruising on the highway. I noticed it once I changed my coolant to turbo hose because the stock one melted on my big tmic. After getting the cel......then it turns off by itself........then comes back......then back off and back on....etc. I replaced the hose with another stock one and never got the cell again. This cell is probably one of the hardest to detect where it's coming from. Have you replaced any lines,hoses, or sensors on the car? What mods have you done? good luck.
