i was on here a while ago about my car,i had gotten tuned by snowman and he told me to upgrade to a full exhaust i have a full 3 inch all the way back now. well it was the issue about going maybe 70~80 and it would be quiet, then my car would start to hum like annoying, shaking my car, loud ass hum, kinda like driving through a long patch of bad road.

do you guys know what it is, maybe my car is freaking out or something ??? because of the new exhaust ???

Well heres the story, i was on my way to orlando and it happened and all...
this is the interesting part ,i was on my way back my cel came on i guess because i tried to use my cruise and it didnt work, well i drove at about 70~85 on the way home with no noise and no problem, i even think i had better mileage! this is where the problem comes in its a cel and thats usually a bad thing correct.

maybe is it a wastegate problem for the humming and/or the cel pulled timing for the humming to stop, i dont know but it would be great if you guys can help me out

im trying to contact jeff, but no answer yet for a retune on my dp and turbo inlet

so if you guys can truly help me out and give me some tips i would greatly appreciate it thanks

 

fuel cut? did you have a dp before the tune and is it catless?

 

yea i had the crappy hks non bell mouth i have a turbo xs bellmouth on it now and it catless

hmm only thing i can think of is maybe the new dp being a 4inch might be effecting the o2 sensor and making it throw the code... did you by any chance pull the code? cause that would help a lot

exhaust leak? bad gasket between the dp and cbe?

 

i had a exhaust leak in my up pipe and it was so annoying. After that everything sounded normal.

 

sounds like two different things.
1. You are throwing an O2 code for being catless, when your CEL comes on it automatically disengages cruise control
2. You have a wheel out of balance. Not by much since it is within a specific speed range. For example, mine happens around 65-75mph which makes the interstate suck.


and for the future, you will need a retune because going full throttle in 4th or 5th gear may cause creep from the lack of backpressure (going to a 3" and removing the cat will do that)
