Default springs

are the cobb sport springs any good?

STi & WRX Performance Parts: COBB Sport Springs, 2004+ Impreza



i was looking at those and the tein s. tech's what do you guys think?

yes they are good, but there are better springs. I would suggest crucial springs first, they are almost identical to the STI pinks (considered the best springs for stock struts) but are considerably cheaper. After those I would suggest prodrives.

i looked at the prodrives, but i want something with a little more drop.

if you do more of a drop you run into problems. they will probably rub a little. but the biggest problem is that you will prematurely wear out your struts. anything lower than crucial/sti pink/prodrive kind of spring lowers past the efficiency range of the stock strut and overworks it, causing it to blow out much more quickly

i did, but they are a little too expensive right now. springs are more in my price range.

Im running H&R Race springs on stock struts. They've been on there for 50K miles and the struts are still in good shape. Heres a pic of the car on 18" wheels.

you can check out our site again we have some springs to offer for ya.. we have the cobb sports that you mentioned at the top and megan springs..

I agree with LD. anything lower than that will wear your struts faster. It might not happen right away but it will happen. I got a friend at work looking to get rid of his coilovers.Hit me with a pm if your interested.

please don't get tein s techs they are really really bad, with your struts and performance, also their too damn stiff I know cause I used to have them, now it does make the car look hella good but I wouldnt recomend them.
