Default headlight leak

Hello everyone,

Ive recently discovered a problem on my 06 WRX this week due to the weather and theres a leak in my right headlight and a buildup of condensation and never taken my headlights out. I contacted Mastro and was unsure if it would be under warrenty and Will from Service Department stated, "there has been a lot of discussion due to this problem and it is not valid for warrenty. Subaru posted last month that 04-06 (maybe 07 as well) have had problems with this condensation factor due to humid/rainy climate change and its NORMAL. The condensation disappear from a drainage spot in the headlight" ??

anyone else have problems with their stock headlights?

Thanks,

Niko

bake 'em... and while they're still hot, push them together until the sealant hardens. this will "re-seal" them. while you're at it, you might as well clear them.

just check the rubber seals on the inside, the ones that screw on.

put it in the oven, pull it apart, put it back in the oven to reheat the glue and dry out the moisture, put on some sealer and put it back together.

thats straight bullshit! after some time that condensation will produce haze and yellowish tint. My brothers cars did it in both lights so i was like "fuck no" took it to the dealer and they put new ones on in less then a hour.
