Default Hypothetical Accesport question

Say your buddy has the same year car as yours and has an Accesport, is there a way to flash my car using his controller? I know you have to unmary it. but then I see people selling them all the time so it appears you can use it on multiple cars. For the record, I'm not going to do this but it's something I've always wondered.

Once you use it on a certain car,it becomes married to that car and cannot be used on any other car.

Unless of course, cobb tuning unmarries it for ~$300 or so.

So your answer is no.

Thanks for the answers, its something I've always wanted to know. So when people sell their used accesports for $400, then their only making $100 then?

people sell their AP's unmarried meaning they have to put the stock tune back on... when you sell your AP for 400 dollars that you bought for 700 dollars you are actually losing 300....

Ok that's what I thought. So you *could* unmarry it, flash a buddies car, unmarry it from his then put it back on your car. Once again, I'm not going to do this, I'm just trying to figure out how you can sell a used AP.

the people that sell them dont have an accessport map anymore. if you have cobb unmarry it that means you can keep your map, but there really is no need to waste $700 then $300 for a reflash on a tune you could get for $200

Ahh, so if I understand correctly when you unmarry the AP you lose the map you've loaded? Well thanks for putting up with all of the questions guys.
