Default Ecu

ok so heres my problem. i am getting a new turbo, injectors, intake, pulley, catch can and fuel pump . as of now i have the stock ecu. i was wondering should i just get a re-flash for the new mods. and who could i get to do a re-flash. Or should i just get a utec or access port or something and get a custom map. i rather just get a re-flash. leme hear some feed back on what yall think. (current mods include- up pipe down pipe bigger t/m i/c light weight flywheel, and clutch) thanks for the input .

tecnically an AP just flashes maps into your ecu- no matter what you need to have that protuned- no one supplies a generic map thats gonna make proper use of everything you have specifically for your car. if you want open source tuning and dont want to pay that much go to snowman- everyone loves the work he does

yeah dont drive your car at all without a retune

probably shouldnt even be hitting boost with a new turbo that the car isnt tuned for

This should sum it up for you...

With an intake and tbe I was at 275hp/280tq to the wheels with the AP Stage II 93 reflash. With the same mods and a pro-tune I was at 313hp/340 tq to the wheels on the same 93 fuel, same dyno, same day.

Its a no brainer.. get the pro-tune.

The Cobb reflash is a very conservative map so that one size fits all.

Get the AP and have your car pro-tuned.

actually you'd be suprised how well the factory ecu handles a larger turbo...does quite well despite what many say...I've tested back to back with and without on the dyno...

if doing injectors, you MUST retune as they need to be scaled.
You will need a reflash or some real EM...
