Well alot of people are going to tell you Stay with the stock BPV instead of buying a atmospheric. I have just a XS power and it works fine but I SAY BE very carful sometimes those BOV's can be the death of subies but ask StiScooby he has a BOV and loves it and works fine. This discussion will rule both ways.

Well, just to let all of you know my background, I had an exhaust on the car about 4 days from when i got it. I had an hks ssqv on about 2.5 weeks after owning the car. I Then had lowered the car 2 days later. I then bought an intake and spark plugs about 2 months later. Got a dp 3 days after the spark plugs and intake. At this point, i was just seeing what the car could do, until i came onto this website and saw the tuning options. I didn't get tuned til the end of november. So, from the end of may until the end of november (6 months!) i drove around with all this stuff done. Now, did i beat the hell out of the car? nope. Yes, i did drive the car to its limits just to see. But, once i heard about tuning around september, i began to settle down until tuning. So, thats my beginning background.

What does it have to do with the bov? well, im still using the damn thing today. So, in may 2008, we will be into 3 years! I love the thing. SS loves the thing. My girlfriend loves the sound of it. Its pretty cool in my mind.

I guess i would say, do some research. But in doing your research, don't find out how good or how bad the product is, figure out what your future upgrades are going to be. People will tell you that this bov is garbage and blah, but i will be the one that will say, "go for it and dont turn back." If you want the hks, go get it man! Its your project. We will all support your setup on way or another. But, i will be the one to plead for you.

Lastly, the newer hks isnt anything different as i have been told. I was going to switch to the newer one, but i was told i will be wasting my money. Not wasting my money on the product, but i already own it, just the last one. Hks just wanted a cool look. One of the reasons why i wanted it. If i do a new setup, i will probably get it. If you get the newer model, i wanna see that thing!

i agree with everything stiscooby says i had a ssqv for almost a year, but i get bored easily- ive been through 4 bovs not including the stock bpv and as far as fun goes i like the ssqv. its actually still in my closet (i cant seem to bring myself to sell it lol) but like everyone has said, this isnt the first time this topic has come up i was prev the one asking the question a few times lol. its all preference and difference in mods tunes make all the difference. if you cant decide, just be like me and get a worx so you can have both or a gfb deceptor
